To Our Destin Snorkel Guests,
The safety and well-being of our guests and staff has always been our top priority. We understand that many of you have concerns about COVID-19 and we want to address them.
We are closely following The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and sanitation standards from Divers Alert Network (DAN) for all snorkeling and dive gear. All guest and staff member touch points including all surfaces, railings on our boats and ramps used to onboard guests, coolers and all bathroom fixtures will be wiped before the first trip and after every other trip taken. Hand sanitizer spray will be available to all guests and staff at onboarding and throughout the duration of every trip.
Currently, per the CDC, there is no evidence that COVID-19 thrives in seawater, pools or hot tubs.
Per DAN standards all gear to include regulator mouthpieces, snorkels and masks will be effectively sanitized by submerging them in a disinfectant solution for 15 minutes and then rinsed with fresh water before each use.
In addition to the steps outlined above, we are asking staff members who are exhibiting cold or flu-like symptoms to stay home and contact their healthcare provider.
During this time, somethings are out of all our control. One thing we can control is providing a great time out on the water.
We are open and we ask that you come out and join us.
On behalf of everyone at Destin Snorkel, we appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you this season. Please let us know of any concerns you may have.
